I see a repetitive trend of using fancy fonts on Instagram. This is especially very common for health and beauty brands. If your brand is very girly, or feminine – aesthetic, there’s a tendency to use pretty little things in the bio section like emojis, or cursive fonts. Beauty salons or clinics, for example, often have this kind of elements in their bios on Instagram.
I advise my clients to change these fonts and stick with the original Instagram font. This is not just my preference, or the fact that I don’t like them. There are technical reasons why this is NOT a good idea to use ‘fancy’ fonts and emojis on Instagram.
